About Us
Friends since first grade, CJ and Ian met in the Cub Scouts. Ian was already playing drums and CJ liked singing. They both began listening to Alternative & Punk music. Being tired of the same old crap, they started a band. The band's earliest name was Critical Red. Jonathan
joined on guitar and later Steve-O, also on guitar. Ian's new band name idea of "Anvil" changed to "Anne Ville" as suggested by CJ's cousin Kate. Soon Jonathan & Steve-O are gone.
CJ and Ian were just a duo for a while. A "Guitar Player Wanted" poster found James, the latest (best and most reliable) guitarist. With this lineup Anne Ville recorded their debut CD/album on Warp Sound Records. They were invited to perform in a Battle of the Bands at BB King's Blues Club at the Universal City Walk in Hollywood. They won the first and second rounds, and in the final round, won 3rd Place.
Alex Richardson (also a Cub Scout groupie) joined the band officially at the CD Release Party. Alex now holds down the low end on Bass Guitar, and has already contributed new music to the mix.
